Therapy for Individuals, Couples, Children, Adolescents, and Families
Offered in Greater Milwaukee, WI
A relationship beyond repair…
Angela and Collin were at the end of their rope with the relationship.
They’ve been together for years – college sweethearts. They experienced so many life changes together through all the ups and downs.
But they felt the love they had was gone.
Nothing they tried was working – couples retreats, best-selling “fix your relationship” books, weekend getaways… nothing.
The more they tried, the more it felt like things were falling apart. They even found themselves avoiding one another to avoid a fight they did not want.
The weight of hopelessness…
Sophia was no longer the daughter her parents once knew.
When they ask her what’s wrong, she says, “I’m fine,” or angrily lashes out. They know something isn’t right, but she won’t talk to them.
She lost all interest in areas she used to excel in, like school, volleyball, and volunteering. When she comes home after school, she goes straight to her bedroom without a “Hi” and closes the door.
Instead of talking on the phone or hanging out with friends, she prefers to be alone.
One day, her parents found notes and pictures that made them increasingly worried. They didn’t know where to turn or how best to help their daughter.
A family drifting apart…
The Smiths struggled to connect.
Austin was always busy at work and rarely came home. Most nights, he just slept in the on-call room at the hospital where he worked as a surgeon.
He worked hard for his career and resented that his wife Debbie wanted him to work less.
But Deb was being stretched thin. Between her job, after-school pickup, soccer practice drop-off, homework helper, and getting dinner together, she felt abandoned and stressed.
Austin didn’t even know the name of the family dog, let alone what activities his kids were in. Whenever the kids asked him to come to a game or recital, Austin’s go-to response was, “I’ll make it next time. I have to work.”
Debbie was fed up, and everyone felt disconnected.
The voice of defeat is a constant companion…
Jada’s mind kept telling her she couldn’t do things and she would never be good enough. She wasn’t sure when it started and how she had gotten to this place in her life.
It may have happened after that blunder during her presentation at work. Or perhaps it was after that disastrous first date her friends set up.
Everything felt like so much work. She couldn’t concentrate on simple tasks at work and was falling behind on projects.
Jada wanted to laugh again. She wanted to enjoy the activities she used to look forward to – morning bike rides with her cycling group, the pottery classes she attended every week, and spontaneous weekend trips with friends.
But now, all she wants to do is lay back in bed and put the covers over her head.
Turn the page to a new chapter.

We will not just be an expensive friend you go to talk to. We understand that people already have great resources, and we are here to expand and help with the transformation process.
You are the expert on you, and we’ll help guide you as you reframe your experiences and work through your challenges.
In therapy, there is no one size fits all. If something isn’t working, then we will revisit and revise.
We work to become the best fit for your needs.
The Path Forward
Angela and Colin are now engaging, sharing dreams, and laughing like they had not in years. They used techniques we provided in sessions to help them understand the dreams within the conflicts they were having and worked to understand each other better.
Therapy has helped Sophia find herself again. We addressed her automatic negative thoughts and behaviors to determine where they stem from. Now, her smile lights up the room as it used to, and she can be found enjoying activities again.
Austin now sleeps at home most nights, and he even took the family on a trip! Debbie feels supported, and the kids feel important. We worked to help the entire family feel heard – to understand that each person’s perspective is valid.
Once Jada committed to asking for help and stuck with it, she realized she could feel good again. We showed Jada how her brain and body work together and that once they are in sync, she feels calmer and ready to take on life.
